‘Maritime 10K Challenge’ by Kiran Phadnis

Promoter of K2K Sports Event Management Company, and a dynamic creative enthusiast and accomplished entrepreneur, Kiran Phadnis has organized a ‘Maritime 10K Challenge’ marathon & cyclothon event on March 3, 2024 in Mumbai in association with Mumbai Port Authority. The theme of this event is: “Run together for Cleaner Oceans”.

“Through this event, for the first time, the entire marine industry of India will unite under one-cause-one-aim: Fitness and Health First. The event is hosted by Mumbai Port Authority as a goodwill gesture for the marine industry to promote sports activities for the mariners,” said Kiran Phadnis.

She added, “Maritime 10K Challenge stands as a distinctive event aimed at spotlighting the importance of the Indian maritime sector as its stakeholders like Indian Navy, Ports, Coast Guard, Merchant Navy, Logistics & Warehousing, etc play pivotal roles in strengthening ‘Blue Economy’ – the backbone of  our country. I am happy to state that a few deaf family members of Indian army personnel and a NGO’s visually impaired people too will participate in this event.”  

Kiran Phadnis is wife of Girish Phadnis – an industry veteran and the present chairman of Maritime Association of Shipowners Shipmanagers and Agents (MASSA).  She started K2K Sports Event Management Company in the year 2023. The co-promoter of her company is Kapil Arora. He was recently appointed as a FIT INDIA Ambassador – An initiative launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of India.
