Excerpts:
How do you propose to improve the infrastructure of Mulund suburb, especially the GMLR construction?
Just before the Maharashtra assembly elections, I had taken a joint meeting of all concerned officers of BMC on site to ensure timelines are maintained and will continually undertake such review meetings on the GMLR site. It is also important to ensure that 850 tenements under construction by MCGM have to be completed on time before the bore machines reach Mulund side as 850 slum units have to be rehabilitated before the completion of tunnel work.
Nahur Railway Station's exit road towards Mulund GMLR is a highly deserted area. Also, a BEST bus service connecting Markandeshwar Temple near Nahur Railway Station with Mulund Railway Station West will help thousands of commuters. And, there is a need to construct an overhead bridge and/or a pedestrian signal between Markandeshwar temple and Nahur Station. Kindly give your feedback on these expectations of the citizens.
As far as addressing the issue of deserted lane connecting Nahur railway station with Mulund GMLR is concerned, I have already spoken with senior officials of Mumbai Police, MCGM and railway authorities. The entire zone will be soon lit up with proper night lights, and also CCTV cameras will be installed in the whole area.
I agree that a BEST bus service between Markandeshwar Temple near Nahur Railway Station and Mulund Railway Station will certainly help thousands of commuters. I will connect with BEST authorities to start such a bus service as soon as possible.
It is my plan to construct a skywalk with escalators over the road between Markandeshwar temple and Nahur Station West, and also a pedestrian signal there to avoid road accidents.
How do you plan to help senior citizens living in each and every housing society of Mulund to take advantage of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana?
We are currently conducting Aayushman cards camps successfully at various locations and till date have already issued Aayushman Smart Cards to over 5000 senior citizen residents of Mulund. On an average, we are conducting 4 Aayushman camps every day in different localities of Mulund to ensure doorstep service to senior citizens. We aim to conduct over 200 camps to register 32,000 senior citizens for Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana by 15th January 2025. Also we plan to conduct such camps in Bhandup and Vikhroli suburbs 20th December 2024 onwards till 26th January 2025.
By 26th January 2025, we aim to register atleast 75,000 senior citizens for issuing Aayushman Smart Cards.
