Mihir Chandrakant Kotecha, a 49-year old and popular Gujarati politician from Mulund suburb of Mumbai, will contest 2024 Lok Sabha election as a BJP candidate from Mumbai North East constituency.

A first-time BJP sitting MLA (Maharashtra), Kotecha won the Mulund constituency seat by a whopping 56.43% vote share in the year 2019. In 2014, Kotecha contested Maharashtra MLA election as a BJP candidate from Wadala constituency which was won by his opponent, a Congress candidate then.

A stalwart of an affluent Lohana community, Kotecha is an entrepreneur and director of a logistics company, Greenwich Meridian (www.gmlindia.net).

Established in 1952, Mumbai North East Lok Sabha constituency comprises six Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) segments.
